A non- refundable 15% late fee will automatically be charged to all late accounts on that day.  There will be a $30.00 charge for all returned checks.  Accounts must be current including all late fees before a student can participate in any performance, or receive costumes.

Terminating a contract

You may withdraw from any or all classes at any time by completing a cancelation form, or you will continue to be billed. Tuition is non-refundable and is paid to save your child’s place in class.  You can obtain a cancellation form at the studio.

Attendance

Our dance season is September- April, please make the effort to attend every class. The studio will usually follow the Johnson County Schools decision on class cancellation for inclement weather and there will be make-up classes scheduled or your child may attend another class, similar level within the calendar month to accommodate weather-related cancellations. Limelight reserves the right to cancel classes at our discretion. There will be dance class on teacher in-service days.

No refunds or deductions are made for missed classes; The studio reserves the right to provide a substitute teacher if the regularly scheduled teacher is ill or otherwise unable to teach classes. In the unlikely event that a substitute cannot be arranged, any canceled classes will be made up. In the event of an extended illness or other unforeseen circumstances, please contact the studio as soon as possible.

Drop Off and Pick Up

Teachers are responsible for students during class time only. Students should arrive NO MORE than 10 minutes prior to the start of class. LDF should be notified in advance for any absence, tardy or early pick-up. Being tardy for a class is disruptive to the teacher and other students.

Please be on time to pick up your child after class. Students must be picked up no later than 10 minutes after class. Please contact the studio immediately in case of extenuating circumstances to notify your child and their teacher.

Communications

The primary source of communication is through email so please provide a correct email address.  If you have any questions or concerns, you are welcome to call or email the studio director (Makenzie Sauers) to discuss the issue.  You have access to your Online Portal to keep updated on attendance, balance due, and more.

Dress Code

The proper dress attire is a requirement of dance. No baggy t-shirts, sweatshirts, shorts, school or street clothes or shoes are permitted in class. Cover-ups must be worn to and from class to ensure health and safety of the body, especially during cool weather. Hair must be tightly secured away from the face for all classes (mandatory bun for ballet). No jewelry except small earrings. Please label your dancewear and bags. We will not be responsible for lost or stolen items.

Please refer to the dress code for each class under each class description.

Performances

We perform for the holidays and other events during the year.  You will receive notice of all performances.

The annual dance production information will be posted as soon as it is confirmed.  The dress rehearsals are mandatory for anyone wanting to perform in the recital. Account balances at LDF must be PAID IN FULL by the last month of classes to perform in the recital.

Insurance

LDF does not carry medical insurance for its students. It is required that all dance students be covered by their own family insurance policies and if an injury occurs it is understood that the student’s own policy is your only source of reimbursement.
